Grella's targets Stoke

Blackburn's Vince Grella is looking forward to putting his injury plagued season behind him as he targets Stoke for his return to the first team.

The Aussie who signed for Rover's way back in August has spent more time on the treatment table than he has on the pitch and with the end of season looming, its Grella's season thats just about to start, and as he describes to the clubs official website, this definately hasn't been one of his best.

"It has been one of those seasons where every time I seem to get started I'm having to start all over again," said Grella to Rovers World.

"But I'm feeling good, I'm positive and hopefully I'll be ready for the game against Stoke and be up for selection and give the manager another option.

"I'm looking forward to it and I hope to put my hand up when called upon."

With six games to go in the season, Grella hopes to see out the campaign injury free and then put in the hard work necessary to start next season in top shape.

"It has been frustrating but I've got to be positive," added Grella. "Things happen in football and it is part of the profession. I think in pre-season I need to sort that physical problem out, but I still have six games where I want to give my contribution, whether it is big or small, to Blackburn.

"I always have a small debt to repay and I think in these games I will still show what I am about.
