Steven Gerrard looks set to miss Liverpool's clash with Arsenal on Tuesday.
The Liverpool skipper is still crocked with a groin injury and was expected to play in the Champions League game against Chelsea last Tuesday, but suffered a recurrence in the final training session and couldn't even take up a place on the bench.
The latest news on the injury is that it is more serious than first thought and will keep him out of the Arsenal game, with Liverpool facing Hull four days later its a race against time for the Kop idol to get fit.
A Liverpool insider revealed: “In the training session before the Champions League game with Chelsea, Steven aggravated a strain he had previously suffered in his adductor muscle.
“A scan has since confirmed our medical team’s initial diagnosis and the player is expected to be out for between seven and 10 days.”
