Dowie to Join Toon Revolution

Sky Sports News are reporting that Iain Dowie has been asked to be Alan Shearers assistant at Newcastle.

It seems as Shearer fever once again whirls Tyneside into a frenzy with his appointment, it is starting to look like Mr Shearer is going to be bringing in his own people to help him save the Toon.

Alan needs experience and with not having any managerial experience himself, it looks like he is going to turn to Iain Dowie.

Dowie has got the experience after spells with Oldham, Crystal Palace, Charlton, Coventry and QPR with whom he had his most recent spell.

Shearer and Dowie were team-mates at Southhampton and have remained good friends ever since and if there is one thing Alan Shearer is going to need to suceed at Newcastle, it is people he can trust.
