SATURDAY

Aston Villa v West Ham (3pm)

Aston Villa’s joint top-scorer Gabriel Agbonlahor is a major doubt with a hamstring injury.

Striker Emile Heskey could return after picking up a hamstring setback when on duty for England against Slovakia three weeks ago.

Midfielder Steve Sidwell and left-back Wilfred Bouma (both ankle) and central defender Carlos Cuellar (back) remain doubtful.

West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is hopeful midfielder Radoslav Kovac will have recovered from a thigh injury in time to face Aston Villa.

But Zola is less confident over Scott Parker, who is suffering from a groin injury and was due to have a fitness test today.

Strikers Carlton Cole (groin) and Dean Ashton (ankle), midfielders Valon Behrami, Jack Collison (both knee) and defenders Danny Gabbidon (back/stomach) and Jonathan Spector (concussion) are all unavailable.

Middlesbrough v Fulham (3pm)

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones will face Fulham tomorrow despite dislocating his finger last week.

French midfielder Didier Digard could be involved in the squad after making a quicker than expected return from thigh and knee problems, but skipper Emanuel Pogatetz (knee) remains on the sidelines.

Gary O’Neil completes a two-match ban.

Glen Johnson and Sean Davis will return to Portsmouth’s side.

Johnson comes back from suspension, while Davies had recovered from a knock.

Canadian Amir Begovic is likely to continue as cover for David James.

Bolton defender Danny Shittu is a major doubt with an ankle injury.

Stoke striker James Beattie will be fit after needing 12 stitches to repair a head wound.

Midfielders Salif Diao (groin), Amdy Faye (back) are again likely absentees, but striker Henri Camara is back in training after an ankle injury and could be on the bench.

El Hadji Diouf and Morten Gamst Pedersen return to the Blackburn side after recovering from a throat infection and calf injury respectively.

Manager Sam Allardyce, however, remains without Jason Roberts (metatarsal), Roque Santa Cruz, Brett Emerton and Steven Reid (all knee).

Sunderland v Hull (3pm)

Kieran Richardson is set to return to Sunderland’s side after recovering from a calf injury.

Dean Whitehead (calf) is also fit after missing last weekend’s game against Manchester United, but might have to settle for a place on the bench.

Hull are waiting on the fitness of striker Daniel Cousin (back) and winger Bernard Mendy (foot).

Cousin has missed the Tigers’ last four games while Mendy was forced off at half-time in Saturday’s defeat at Middlesbrough.

Hull are forced to make at least one change with captain Ian Ashbee suspended after accumulating 10 booking this season.

George Boateng is likely to start in his place.

Arsenal v Chelsea (5.15pm) - FA Cup semi-final

Arsenal will be without full-back Bacary Sagna (virus), while fellow defender Kieran Gibbs is struggling with a groin problem.

Russian midfielder Andrey Arshavin will be available having been cup-tied for the midweek Champions League game, while Croatia striker Eduardo is also match fit.

Lukasz Fabianski will again deputise in goal for Manuel Almunia (ankle), while defenders Gael Clichy (back), William Gallas (knee) and Johan Djourou (knee) are all sidelined.

Chelsea skipper John Terry returns from suspension for tomorrow’s FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal at Wembley.

Midfielder Deco has sustained a hamstring injury in training but right-back Jose Bosingwa has returned to training after recovering from his hamstring problem.

Joe Cole and Paulo Ferreira are absent with knee ligament injuries.

Man City v West Brom (3pm)

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes will monitor the fitness of Shaun Wright-Phillips ahead of the clash with West Brom.

The midfielder has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

Nigel de Jong is expected to return to the squad after being ineligible for the UEFA Cup tie against Hamburg.

Richard Dunne is available despite being sent off against Hamburg as his ban only applies to European games.

West Brom defender Shelton Martis is set to miss out with a groin strain.

The Baggies are also again likely to be without striker Roman Bednar, who is battling to shake off a hamstring problem.

Shearer has asked striker Obafemi Martins (groin) to play through the pain barrier, while defender Steven Taylor (ankle) and midfielder Peter Lovenkrands (chest infection) were due to resume full training today.

Left-back Jose Enrique (knee) remains a doubt, but striker Mark Viduka (Achilles) is included in the squad.

Gary Neville and Rafael da Silva are fit after recent injury problems.

Alex Ferguson has confirmed he will make changes from the team which defeated Porto on Wednesday night, with Paul Scholes, Park Ji-sung and Carlos Tevez among those expected to start at Wembley.

Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney are both carrying minor knocks but should be involved, the latter desperate to face his old club.

Everton boss David Moyes must decide whether to risk striker Louis Saha, with the striker suffering from a stomach virus.

Moyes’ alternative, with Brazilian loan striker Jo cup-tied, will be to push midfielders Tim Cahill and Marouane Fellaini forward, which could create a place for teenager Jack Rodwell.

Defender Joseph Yobo and striker James Vaughan have recovered from injuries to be in the squad.
