Blackburn Rover's manager Sam Allardyce will be feeling bitterly disappointed this evening after watching his side lose 1-0 to Stoke this afternoon.
The match looked to be heading for an 0-0 draw when Liam Lawrence's shot managed to squirm past Paul Robinson to give Stoke the lead with 15 minutes left on the clock.
Blackburn now sit just above the relegation zone and Sam Allardyce would of been more than happy to take a point from this game.
"So that all-important clean sheet would have been very important to us today and the point would have been important.
"But the way the goal came about was really disappointing because we've dealt with everything that Stoke have thrown at us and this one wasn't a great ball, it wasn't a great cross but unfortunately it sneaks through and ends up with Lawrence. He showed a really good bit of skill and Paul Robinson was very unfortunate that he didn't quite save it.
"If we'd have got a draw I'd have been happy but we wouldn't have deserved any more than that.
"It is a disappointing day for us and one that we'll have to put behind us and make sure we get ready for Wigan next week."
